Haliburton School of Art + Design Releases 2024 Course Calendar
Haliburton, ON (March 6, 2024) – Explore new skills, pursue a new passion or fine-tune your artistic talents at the Haliburton School of Art + Design (HSAD) this year.
HSAD’s 2024 course calendar is out! Copies can be picked up at Fleming’s Sutherland, Frost and Haliburton campuses. An online version can be found here. Registration opened March 1.
This year’s calendar brings some big changes to programming and continuing education at HSAD.
There are new courses in video game design, improv comedy and jazz band. Book lovers can sign up for one of three courses celebrating the written word beginning in September.
Young artists can spend time in our renown studios learning glassblowing, blacksmithing and jewellery making in programs geared to teenagers.
HSAD now offers continuing education programs year-round, with courses and workshops to accommodate all work schedules.
Some continuing education programs have already begun, with classes running throughout the winter months. Wednesday evening courses run over a six-week period for those unable to take classes during the day. Saturday workshops focus on new techniques taught in one day.
HSAD is now offering open studio opportunities in glassblowing and ceramics during the winter and spring months.
Full summer programming begins in June and runs until August. The summer months also feature HSAD’s popular Wednesday evening art talks and Thursday evening entertainment in the Great Hall.
