Programs For Workplace (E) Graduates

Fleming College offers several programs that lead to rewarding careers for Workplace (E) Graduates.

If you have an OSSD with the majority of credits at the Workplace (e) level, including English you are eligible for entry into any of the programs listed below.

Programs for workplace graduates get students ready to enter the workforce and many lead to further program opportunities at Fleming.


  • When Workplace (E) is the minimum course level for admission, (c) and (U/C) level courses are also accepted
  • OLC 40 meets the English requirement
  • Learning Support Services are available for all full time students at Fleming College, as required

Only program of its kind in Canada. 1-year Certificate. Lindsay Campus.

This highly practical hands-on program uses labs and field classes to focus on explosions, drilling and blasting, geology and safety.

Heavy Equipment Operator

12-weeks Certificate. Lindsay Campus.

In a hands-on learning environment students develop the skills to operate bulldozers, graders, backhoes, excavators and other construction site equipment.

Mechanical Techniques - Plumbing

2 semester certificate. Peterborough Campus.

Graduate with a variety of trade-specific skills that could land you employment with independent contractors or be your pathway to a plumbing apprenticeship.

Personal Support Worker

2-semester Certificate. Peterborough and Cobourg Campus.

This program gives students the training and credentials for a rewarding career providing support for children, adults and seniors with special needs or disabilities.
