Residences at our Lindsay and Peterborough campuses offer:

  • Suite style living accommodating six students with single bedrooms, shared kitchen, living room and washroom facilities - completely furnished

How to Apply to Residence

Important: You MUST have applied for a full-time program and have a Fleming student ID number in order to apply.

Apply On-line for Residence at the Sutherland or Frost Campus

It is important that you adhere to all deadline dates as we cannot accept responsibility for delays caused by mail or courier companies.

In accordance with section 39(2) of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, this is to advise you that information in connection with this application is collected under the legal authority of the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development Act. This information is used for administration of residence services at Fleming College and for other related or consistent purposes. For further information concerning the collection of this information, you may contact a Residence Manager.


Offers of Residence

Applicants will receive residence offers via email. Be sure to check the e-mail account listed on your residence application for communication from our office on a regular basis. E-mail will be our primary method of communicating with applicants over the summer.

I've been accepted to Residence! Now What?

The following documents MUST be printed and returned by fax or mail by the date indicated in your acceptance email.

Please login to the Housing Portal to accept your room offer. Follow the instructions in the portal on completing forms and how to make a payment.



A residence room offer is made with the condition that students accept their offer of admission to Fleming and meet all the necessary deadlines for tuition fee payment and provide any outstanding marks required to become a fully registered student.

FAILURE TO ADHERE TO PAYMENT DEADLINE DATES WILL RESULT IN ROOM CANCELLATIONS. LATE FEES MAY ALSO APPLY.

If you have a change of plans about living in residence, please notify the RESIDENCE OFFICE by email or fax, as there is a long waitlist of students interested in a room.

Every residence student is responsible for reading, understanding and adhering to the Resident Contract and the Residence Policies.


Residence Parking

Residents who are bringing a vehicle to residence must purchase a parking permit. Residence parking is limited and permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Overnight parking is only permitted in this lot. Before arriving print, complete and return the parking application. After arriving parking permits can be purchased at the security/information booth on campus. Inform them you will be living in residence. Guest parking is available at both residences. Residential Network (RezNet)

Every bedroom is directly connected to the Fleming College network, providing access to email and Internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Though intended primarily for academic-related usage, residents are able to use the Internet to chat with friends and family, get involved in online culture, or take part in other forms of recreational surfing.

RezNet is included in the residence fees. RezNet volunteers are available to help you get connected to RezNet and answer any questions you might have.

RezNet Policies & Procedures must be followed at all times. All you need to take advantage of RezNet is a computer with an ethernet connection and your own ethernet cable (cable not provided by the college) or optionally at our Frost residence a wireless a/b/g/n adapter for wifi access (Frost residence only).


Sutherland Residence Village (Peterborough)

Amenities and Highlights

In addition to the features listed above, the Sutherland Residence Village also offers:

  • Barrier-fee accommodations are available
  • Games room and quiet study areas (with wireless capability)
  • Access to the adjacent 58,000 square foot Sport and Wellness Centre featuring a five-lane leisure pool, a therapeutic pool, a triple gymnasium and a fitness centre


Sutherland Residence Village Fees

Residence fees are based on two consecutive semesters (indicated below). Fees below are effective September 2018. For other stay durations and rates, contact the office.

  • App Fee - $75
  • Caution/Key Deposit - $375
  • Rez Council - $35
  • Sutherland Residence - $6690*
    (Two 15-week semesters - Fall & Winter)

Your Residence Forms and First Payment must be submitted by the date located in your acceptance email. For more information, please contact our office between the hours of 8am - 5pm or by email at sutherland-residence@flemingcollege.ca.

It is the student's responsibility to ensure payment is received by the college on or before due dates. Should a late installment payment occur, a late fee charge of $75 will be applied to the student's account. There will be an additional $30 fee for returned cheques or payments returned to the college for any reason.

Sutherland Residence Village Meal Plan Information

All students living in the Sutherland Residence Village are required to purchase a meal plan. The meal plan cost is a minimum of $750.00 per semester. There are a variety of food options including: Tim Horton's, Pita Pit, pasta bar, deli, and Pizza Pizza on-campus. Please keep in mind that this is not a full meal plan but rather it is intended to supplement meals you cook for yourself. Each suite comes with a full kitchen and appliances (stove, fridge, and microwave) are included. You are able to bring into your additional appliances such as a toaster oven, electric frying pan, or George Foreman grill.

Frost Residence (Lindsay)

In addition to the features listed above, the Frost Residence also offers:

  • Barrier-fee accommodations are available
  • Telephone service in student's bedrooms can be arranged directly with Bell Canada (for a fee)
  • Local buses to the College and residence providing a convenient access to all town services

Residence fees are based on two consecutive semesters (indicated below). Fees below are effective September 2018. For other stay durations and rates, contact the office.

  • App Fee - $75

  • Frost Residence - $6098*
