For consideration in this category, graduates must have achieved an average of 70% or higher over the duration of the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway program. If there are more applications from graduates with 70% or higher than reserved seats available, a selection process based on an average of overall marks will take place. 
  • Credits: Depending on your chosen program, you could earn 2 to 4 credits toward your future college diploma, allowing to not just prepare but also progress.

In the Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas program, you’ll learn in a welcoming, hands-on environment that sets you up for success from day one. Experience real lab work in our chemistry and biology labs, and dive into an integrated health curriculum designed to build your confidence and competence. 

Sharpen your essential skills with college-level courses in communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving, which provides an advantage in both academics and the workplace. 

Our faculty are dedicated to your success. They bring a passion for hands-on learning that connects to real-world situations and a strong focus on student achievement. You’ll study with faculty who not only have strong academic credentials but also offer practical and valuable career guidance and personalized support every step of the way. 

Whether you pursue health sciences or pivot to a new path, this program gives you the flexibility and support to launch you in the right direction. 

Our program will be a good fit, if you:

  • need to boost your grades or complete key science courses to qualify for your desired college or university program
  • have been out of school for awhile and want to refresh your skills
  • want a strong foundation to increase your changes of success in a competitive health sciences program

In addition you should plan to spend at least $700 per year for books and supplies.

  • Examine fundamental biological concepts, processes and systems of the human body, including the structure, function and properties of the molecules of life, cells, tissues and organ systems in relation to homeostasis and health.
  • Examine fundamental concepts, processes and systems of chemistry, including matter and chemical bonding; quantities in chemical reactions; solutions and solubility; acids and bases; as well as nomenclature, structure and properties of organic compounds, in relation to health and the human body.
  • Solve basic numeric problems and interpret data related to health sciences and other science-related fields using mathematical concepts, including algebra, basic probability and descriptive statistics.
  • Use health sciences and other science-related language and terminology appropriately to communicate clearly, concisely, and correctly in written, spoken, and visual forms.
  • Prepare a personal strategy and plan for academic, career and professional development in the health sciences or other science-related fields.
  • Investigate health sciences and science-related questions, problems and evidence using the scientific method.

Students applying to Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas must meet the following requirements:

Internet Connection: 2.5 Mbps Download and 3.0 Mbps Upload (minimum)

Students are required to have their own computer, internet access, webcam and microphone.

Some required software applications are not available for Chromebook.
