At Fleming we offer three foundational certificates that provide a pathway to your dream career. These programs prepare you for high demand health science programs as well as B.A. and B.Sc. degrees.
Our programs are short – two semesters – and provide distinct advantages:
Improve your science skills to qualify for admission to a college health science one-year or two-year program. At the same time, learn more about careers in these fields.
Up to 50% of seats in our Paramedic program are guaranteed for graduates of this program.
Fleming also reserves spaces for eligible graduates in:
Obtain the courses you need for admission to a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science Nursing degree, or a three-year college health or science program.
You will get extensive, hands-on, lab-based learning and gain skills in writing and research, math, human anatomy, biology and organic/inorganic chemistry. Explore careers in health sciences as well as biological and chemical sciences.

Earn credit for your first year toward your Bachelor’s degree in this unique program that emphasizes small class sizes, ensuring personal attention and mentorship from faculty.
Discover new ways of seeing the world through studying disciplines such as psychology, sociology, literature, and philosophy. Develop a range of communication skills to prepare you for the rigors of a degree program.
This program is a perfect fit for you if:
Successful grads will have earned full credit for the first year of a Bachelor’s degree in arts or science at Trent University or a B. A. at Carleton University. Students may be eligible for transfer credits at other institutions as well.

It was amazing to have a year to get a grasp on things before going into a very challenging program. You do a few courses in Pre-Health that contribute to your Paramedic diploma so you can lessen your workload and focus on the tougher core courses. It prepared me and many of my peers well.
