Weaving for the Beyond Beginner!

Course Code: ARTS3012

Suitable for the confident beginner, this weaving course will guide you through completing a project from start to finish. After a quick review of warping, dressing the loom, and throwing a shuttle, you will focus on creating tea towel projects. Learning outcomes include warping with multiple colours, reading drafts beyond plain weave, and developing shuttle techniques for clean edges. Several tea towel project styles will be offered to accommodate different ability levels. All weaving will be completed on 4-harness floor looms using equipment supplied by the college. This course is ideal as either a skill refresher or a way to further build your weaving practice.
