Laurie Allan-Ungeitis

Laurie Allan-Ungeitis began the art of spinning, weaving and dyeing in 2008 after visiting a friend's sheep farm in New York state. She continued her weaving practice in Canada in the studio of Master Weaver Ralph Johnston focusing on multi-harness weaving in a wide variety of structures. Over the years she has participated in numerous workshops, classes and specialized study groups. Laurie has been teaching weaving at HSAD for 6 years as well as from her own studio; Piper Weaving Studio in Bath, Ontario. Laurie is an enthusiastic teacher who nurtures creative opportunities while emphasizing the importance of a strong technical foundation.
