Watercolour - Photo Reference Painting

Course Code: ARTS2831

This course has been designated at a beginner/intermediate level. These courses may branch into skill building beyond the beginner level, but the faculty member is also willing to take on students with no previous skills.
Beginner to intermediate watercolourists will explore the transition from a photo to a finished interpretive watercolour. Use simple and effective preliminary value sketches, compositional techniques, and drawing basics to condense the photographic subject matter. There will be interactive lectures, demonstrations, lots of painting time with individual instruction, and very supportive critiques.
