Painting - One Face, One Colour Workshop

Course Code: ARTS2966

Many painters avoid portrait work, but this one-day workshop is designed to help you approach it with confidence. Explore why faces can be challenging to draw and learn how to truly see what?s in front of you. Through eight practical techniques, you will build a versatile toolkit that can be applied not only to portraiture, but to any subject you choose to tackle next. This is not an anatomy class; instead, it offers a relaxed, stress-free opportunity to practice creating a portrait of your choice using a black-and-white reference photo, with guidance that supports observation, experimentation, and personal expression.
