International Business

Course Code: MKTG110

This introductory course will expose students to all the essential elements of international business. The course will emphasize the managerial viewpoint rather than that of the social science disciplines from which international business draws its theoretical underpinnings. In discussing trade policy, for example, the effects of different policies on national objectives will be discussed, but also the courses of action that companies and industries can and do take to influence policy and to react to whatever policy is undertaken. The student who can evaluate courses of action in light of the theoretical foundations of the business world will be well prepared to operate in the rapidly changing global business environment.
