Dispute Resolution

Course Code: MGMT101

Study the major alternative dispute resolution methods, their advantages and disadvantages, and when to apply them. Explore mediation skills, ethical issues, power imbalances, issues of culture, race and gender and stages in the mediation process. Examine how to determine the interests of the parties, how to generate options for settlement, and how to get beyond impasses. An introductory course in Human Resources Management or experience in the field is required prior to taking this course.
