This ceramics course invites you to explore the art of making functional forms inspired by the global culture of caffeine. From elegant teapots to sleek coffee pour-overs and sculptural matcha bowls, develop your wheel-throwing and hand-building skills while tackling the design challenges of spouts, lids, handles, and strainers. Expect playful problem-solving, exploration in surface decoration, and glazing techniques with plenty of tea and coffee talk along the way.
