Ceramics - Pots in Action: Pouring Int/Adv

Course Code: ARTS2986

Spend a week investigating pots designed to pour. This is primarily a wheel-based class, so a basic level of throwing experience is required. You will also explore a range of handbuilt spout-making methods, including slab and template construction, coil and dowel techniques, drop- or press-molded forms, sculpted and hollowed spouts, and spouts pulled directly from the rim. The class includes one bisque firing and one cone 6 glaze firing.
