Information Technology and Cyber Systems Professional Pathway Series
Program Overview
The Information Technology & Cyber Systems Professional Pathway Series is a fully online, job‑aligned micro credential pathway delivered by Fleming College in partnership with Cyber Catalyst. The program is purpose‑built to support Veterans, transitioning military members, and military‑connected families in translating their military skills into in‑demand careers across IT, networking, cybersecurity, and digital systems.
Learners progress through a structured intake and readiness assessment, foundational IT skill development, and specialized cyber or network pathways that align to industry roles and certifications. Programs are designed to be flexible, intensive, and employment‑focused, supporting learners from onboarding through to job readiness and employer connections.
Program Highlights
Designed for Veterans & Military Families – Intake processes value and recognize military training, experience, and transferable competencies. Programming is tailored for those transitioning from service into civilian technical careers.
Personalized Readiness Assessment – Learners complete a structured intake and interest assessment to identify appropriate micro credentials and ensure academic and technical readiness prior to specialization.
Flexible, Fully Online Delivery – All learning activities, including labs, mentorship, and instructor‑supported study, are delivered remotely, enabling participation from anywhere in Canada.
Earn a Fleming College Credential – Successful completion results in an official Fleming College micro credential, supplemented by a Cyber Catalyst training transcript aligned to industry standards.
Career‑Focused Transition Support – Learners receive job search coaching, employer introductions, experiential learning opportunities, and access to a military‑friendly employment network.
Course Delivery
Programs are delivered in a structured but flexible format. Each micro credential is approximately 250 hours and can be completed:
- Full‑time over 3 months (approximately 20 hours/week), or
- Part‑time over 6 months (approximately 10 hours/week
Admission Requirements
Veterans, transitioning service members, military spouses, or adult learners seeking entry or transition into IT and cybersecurity careers Completion of Cyber Catalyst intake and readiness assessment.
Basic computer literacy and comfort working in an online learning environment.
English language proficiency sufficient for post‑secondary technical instruction.
- No prior post‑secondary credential in IT or cybersecurity is required; pathways are scaffolded to support learners entering at different skill levels.

Students prepare to write the ISACA CISA professional certification (Certified Information Systems Auditor).

This is one of the most widely recognized and respected certifications in the information security industry. Obtaining the CISSP declares that the recipient has the knowledge, skills, and expertise to design, implement, and manage effective cybersecurity programs and to protect organizations from potential security threats. Eight domains of knowledge are extensively covered in preparation for writing for the CISSP certification
Web Programmer Associate

The Microcredential in Web Programing provides a comprehensive learning path that includes introduction to HTML, JavaScript and CSS skills needed for front-end web development and then moves into hands-on practice of the skills in database management tools to support their understanding of the requirements of a Full Stack web developer. In addition to HTML, a refresher on Linux and an intro to database uses in web development, candidates gain an understanding and skill confidence in Python and JavaScript programming languages.
