Spinning - Beginners

This course has been designated at a beginner level. No previous knowledge or skill is needed to take these courses. Learn the art of twisting fibre into yarn. Participants will be introduced to raw, washed, and dyed wool. Hands-on instruction in washing and dyeing wool, hand carding, teasing, drum carding, spinning and plying on a spindle and on a spinning wheel will be provided. Using information and skills learned, participants will design a yarn incorporating a range of supplied fibres.
