Printmaking - Combining Linocut and Drypoint Printmaking Techniques

Course Code: ARTS2927

Explore the creative possibilities of multi-layered printmaking while working with the techniques of your choice. Tools, materials, and instruction will be available for both linocut relief printing and copper drypoint intaglio printing, allowing you to gain hands-on experience with each process. The recommended and demonstrated approach involves creating a drypoint print first, then layering linocut printing on top to introduce colour and additional detail. With guided instruction and time to experiment, you will refine your images through multiple stages and produce a small edition of finished prints to take home.
