Course Code: ARTS2990

Small scale, big imagination. Build a miniature bunkie inspired by Cottage Life Magazine plans, learning how to scale full-size measurements down to miniature form. Designed for all skill levels, this course guides you step by step through construction, finishing, and furnishing. Spend one day building the bunkie shell, followed by a day crafting wooden furniture such as tables and bookshelves. Another day focuses on soft furnishings, including upholstered chairs and possibly a bed with duvet. You will hen create accent pieces?like food and plants?using Fimo or Sculpey, before finishing the week by consolidating, refining, and styling your miniature. Along the way, you will have opportunities to add details, including working lights. Leave with a miniature bunkie and the skills to continue exploring the world of miniatures. There will also be a selection of furniture kits available for purchase, so you can choose how to furnish your little house.
