Gel Plate Monoprints: Creative Printmaking Without a Press

Squishy, transparent and flexible, gel plates are fun even before you start printing! They're easy-to-use yet capable tools for sophisticated artistic thinking. Instruction will cover the basics and move into a variety of creative approaches from shape and texture, to botanicals, to masking, mark-making, as well as layered approaches, incorporating design and colour theory. Throughout the course you will add to your personal artist book project which will serve as a memento of what you have tried and learned.
A $30 material fee payable to the instructor will be needed on your first day of class
