Ceramics - Mindful Repetition

This course is welcome to all levels. Anyone can take these courses if interested. Beginner-level instruction will be provided for basic skills while more advanced users can work on more complex projects with instructor assistance.
Enjoy the meditative and rhythmic process of creating multiples. Enhance your wheel throwing skills through repetition while simultaneously drawing your awareness inwards to your breath and body posture. Attention will also be focused on decoration at both the greenware and bisque ware stages. The use of slips, underglaze, carving and stamps will be introduced for decoration. Explore the practice of creating sets of functional pottery while finding ways to celebrate each piece as an individual. This course is open to all levels of experience with clay.
