Ceramics - Creating Multiples

Course Code: ARTS2687

This course is open to those with any experience on the pottery wheel.
Enjoy the rhythmic process of creating multiples. You will enhance skills needed to create multiples of the same form, including nesting sets. Start your work on the wheel with a quarter pound of clay and progress up to two pounds. Attention will also be focused on decoration at both the greenware and bisque ware stages. The use of slips, underglaze, carving and stamps will be introduced for decoration. Explore the practice of creating multiple sets of functional pottery while finding ways to celebrate each piece as an individual.
