Prepare for a rewarding career in the private security sector with Fleming College’s Ontario Security Guard Training, delivered in partnership with Ontario Security Hub, an Ontario Ministry-licensed security training provider.

This comprehensive 40-hour online program meets the curriculum requirements established by Ontario's Private Security and Investigative Services Branch (PSISB) and is designed to help learners build the knowledge and confidence needed to pursue employment as a licensed security guard in Ontario.

Through industry-relevant training, learners will develop a strong foundation in professional security practices, legal authorities and responsibilities, emergency response procedures, communication skills, and public safety protocols. The course goes beyond minimum requirements to help prepare graduates for real-world workplace situations and employer expectations.

Upon successful completion, Ontario Security Hub will issue the required Training Completion Number (TCN), enabling learners to register for the Ontario Security Guard Provincial Exam and begin the licensing process.

This self-paced online program provides the flexibility to learn when and where it is most convenient. Course access is activated upon registration, allowing learners to begin their training immediately.

In partnership with Ontario Security Hub, this mandatory 40-hour Security Guard Training Course is required to write the provincial exam and apply for an Ontario Security Guard Licence. Following the Ministry-approved syllabus, this fully online course provides comprehensive training that goes beyond minimum requirements, helping learners build the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in the security industry and respond effectively to real-world situations. WSIB-recognized Intermediate First Aid & CPR is also required prior to course completion which can be taken separately at Fleming College.
