Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough: Teresa J. Daw Bursary

Teresa J. Daw. Teresa had a longstanding history of being a strong and effective advocate on disability rights issues and worked locally, nationally, and internationally to advance social justice and inclusion for marginalized and underrepresented groups for over thirty years. In memory of Teresa, The Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough and, Fleming College, will administer the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough: Teresa J. Daw Bursary to support students with disabilities. Funding for this project was made possible by a grant from the Teresa J. Daw Fund within the Community Foundation of Greater Peterborough. The Community Foundation is a public foundation and registered charity. By combining and investing gifts of all sizes in a pooled fund, the Community Foundation works with donors to build sustainable community resources that can address the challenges and opportunities facing Peterborough now and in the future. Awarded to a Full-Time or, Part-Time student, registered with the College's Office of Accessible Education Services, enrolled in a program at Sutherland campus, who demonstrates Financial Need.
