Scholarships and Bursaries
Paul Scholfield had a career of over 30 years in the Canadian power generations business- much of it focused on the Canadian nuclear program. He helped in the development of General Electric Canada's first nuclear fuel production line and provided leadership on several nuclear reaction projects at GE and Westinghouse Canada. Paul became Vice President of GE Canada in 1987 and Executive Vice President in 1997. Paul retired from GE in 1995 and maintained offices in both Peterborough and Toronto for years following.
Paul is the recipient of several national and industry citations and has received the Queen's Medal for community service. Locally, he has held leadership roles with the Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Council (GPAEDC), United Way, and many other community groups. He has been a member of Sir Sandford Fleming College's Board of Governors since 1996 and was appointed as a Board Chair in September 2001.
Awarded to a full-time domestic student enrolled in the 2nd year of any Law and Justice Program who has a GPA of 3.6 or higher that demonstrates financial need.
* Student must have resided in Ontario for twelve months prior to beginning their post-secondary studies.
