Kathleen Finlay Memorial Bursary

Kathleen Finlay was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on June 3rd, 1942, and lived in Toronto from 1963 until her death on December 17th, 2011. She was married and had one daughter, Julia. Kathleen began her career about 1983, attended the two-year diploma course at Central Tech's Art Centre in Toronto, and later studied with many teachers, including John Leonard and Renata Realini.

She took many visual art courses at the Haliburton School of Arts and had a number of juried, invited, group, and solo exhibitions. She was a member of the Women's Art Institute in Toronto and the Colour and Form Society.

Awarded to a domestic full-time student in the Drawing and Painting Certificate Program who demonstrates financial need.
