Campus Closure Notice: February 12

Due to the anticipated heavy snowfall expected this evening, all in-person classes at Sutherland, Frost, and Haliburton campuses, including Continuing Education classes, will be cancelled as of 6 p.m. The campuses will also be closing, and we encourage all staff and students to begin departing the college as soon as possible.

We will continue to assess the weather overnight, and will provide an update regarding classes early tomorrow morning. We currently anticipate campuses will be open tomorrow.

Please check back as we will continue to monitor the weather and share updates on Facebook, X, Instagram, and mycampus.flemingcollege.ca. Please use extra caution when travelling to and from campus.

General Motors of Canada Female Student Bursary

General Motors of Canada was established in 1908, and is a subsidiary of its parent company General Motors Corporation which is the "world's largest industrial corporation and vehicle manufacturer". It is a company that has maintained an innovative approach to automotive manufacturing, including firsts in areas of safety testing, comprehensive service policies, and new parts production. 

General Motors of Canada Limited is the manufacturer of cars, light trucks, locomotives, military vehicles, and automotive components. General Motors Canada makes the Chevrolet Camaro, Chevrolet Tracker, Chevrolet Impala, and Lumina. Monte Carla and Buick Century and Regal as well as the Chevrolet Silverado and the GMC Sierra Trucks. 

General Motors of Canada and Sir Sandford Fleming College has had a long-standing relationship. General Motors of Canada Limited has employed many Fleming graduates, accessed Fleming training for its worker, and offered many Fleming students summer employment. This bursary is offered to honour this positive relationship. 

Awarded to a domestic, full-time, female student, who demonstrates financial need, in any of the following programs: Electrical Engineering Technician or Computer Engineering Technician/Technology programs

* Student must have resided in Ontario for twelve months prior to beginning their post-secondary studies.

Applying is Easy

Registered students with an active timetable are able to apply for all bursaries that are administered by the college though our single on-line bursary application.

By completing this application, you will be considered for all college-administered bursaries and scholarships for which you are eligible. To apply, log into myCampus (the student portal), and go to the Student Centre section. The Apply Now! button will open the on-line application as long as you have a valid SIN on file. If you do not have a valid SIN on file, you are required to provide proof of SIN (any government issued document with your name and SIN) and government issued photo-id at the Registrar's Office so your record may be updated. Please note that bursary applications will not be evaluated until after the application deadline date.
