Scott Davis

Scott Davis is the past Program Coordinator for the Forestry Technician Program and has spent over 25 years working as a Forest Technician in a variety of roles. Scott joined Fleming in 2013 to teach the Forest Fire Science course and has since merged into a full-time role in the Forestry Program teaching Forest Ecology, Forest Navigation and Silviculture. Prior to joining Fleming, Scott spent 17 years with the Eastern Ontario Model Forest, managing their Forest Certification Program and working with private and community forest owners. Scott also worked with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry in their Aviation and Fire Management Program, as well as the with the Manitoba Habitat Heritage Corporation. Scott has worked throughout Ontario and beyond, has a strong network of contacts, and works closely with graduating students to assist them in establishing their careers. Scott was the recent recipient of the Ross Silversides Award recognizing outstanding contributions to Forestry in eastern Ontario.
