Lisa Dixon

Lisa Dixon, Owner & Operator of Blackhoney Coffeehouse, Bakery & Catering, in downtown Peterborough, was a very busy chef in Ottawa, Ontario for nine years at various cafes, catering companies & restaurants. Lisa's love of teaching the wonders of the culinary arts is rooted in her love of the arts. She studied Art History and Archeology at Ottawa University, and, after graduating, she worked as a docent at the National Art Gallery, teaching visual art to both young & older people. After studying Pastry at Algonquin College & completing courses at Cordon Bleu, she went directly into catering & restaurant work, but never let the passion of teaching go! Lisa loves the Coffeehouse & Catering/Baking business, being a part of the Peterborough Arts & Cultural community, and most recently teaching Culinary Arts part time at Fleming College.
