Fernando Diaz de Leon Rendon

Fernando Diaz de Leon Rendon is a multidisciplinary artist known for his practice of diverse art mediums, including painting, drawing, sculpture and installations. His artistic journey began at a young age in Mexico nurtured by a creative family environment. He further developed his expertise at OCAD, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting (BFA) and a Minor in Material Art and Design (2017). Fernando's artistic practice combines his Mexican and Canadian heritage, resulting in a unique technique called repujado, repousse a form of metal embossing on recycled materials and metals. Inspired by nature's majesty and architectural symbolism, his sustainable art features intricate details infused with subtle expressionist flair. Committed to environmental responsibility, his artwork promotes eco-friendly practices, transforming discarded materials into stunning pieces.
