Portraiture & Figure Drawing - Celebrating Gender Diversity

Celebrate gender diversity and explore the ways we express our identity through portraiture and costumed figure drawing. Working with gender diverse participants as your models, you will use drawing media to capture movement, expression and the moment in gesture drawing, tonal work, expressive colour and line, in both short, medium, and longer sustained poses.
Basics of Portraiture and Figure drawing, proportion, observational tools, composition, etc, will be discussed, you will also examine the work of traditional and contemporary portrait and figurative artists.
A $10 material fee payable to the instructor will be needed on your first day of class
