Photography - Playing with Polaroids Workshop

Course Code: ARTS2747

Do you love the vintage feel and memories associated with old polaroid photographs? Are you a creative person who likes to work with their hands? You don't need to be a photographer to pick up a point and shoot Polaroid camera and get instant results. In this workshop you'll learn to not only take Polaroid pictures but to manipulate them, cut them apart, layer, paint and collage them. You'll learn how to use water to lift the jelly-like photo emulsion off the plastic backing of the Polaroid and transfer it onto a variety of surfaces resulting in a moody and sometimes wrinkled image. Make a collage, tryptic or a hanging photo mobile as a final project.
A $60 material fee payable to the instructor will be needed on your first day of class
