Photography - Blending Multiple Photographs

Have you ever wanted to blend or collage digital images? This classroom based introductory course in digital photography will kick start your journey into making digital creations. Students will learn about layers and masks, selection tools and the paint brush tool. Try changing the background of a portrait, blending two photographs together and creating photo collages. Bring a physical photo you'd like to digitize and experiment with. Take home two digital prints of your favourite experiments. Short outdoor photoshoots on campus will break-up time spent in the computer lab.
You should be comfortable shooting and downloading digital images from digital camera or cell phone camera. Familiarity with MAC computers or iPhones/ iPads and Adobe Photoshop is an asset but not a requirement. Options for free photo editing software will be discussed.
A $12 material fee payable to the instructor will be needed on your first day of class
