Pharmacology Theory Review for Nurses

Course Code: NRSG157

Review and update the skills and knowledge of the RN/RPN in the area of pharmacology and medication administration. Emphasis is placed on the knowledge of drug groups, both traditional and non-traditional such as natural herbs, in terms of actions, uses, adverse reactions, special considerations, and application of the nursing process. Prerequisite: Current RN or RPN registration. NOTE: RPNs must have a Medication Admin Certificate or have taken the material in their basic training.
