In this introductory course you will examine oceans from an historical, geographical, geological and biological perspective. Gain a better understanding of the beauty, wealth of species and impact of climate change on our oceans as we delve into topics, such as the history of oceanography, ocean waters, the productivity of the oceans, seafloor sediments and inhabitants, plankton and nekton, ocean currents, waves, and tides.
