Fish ID for Electrofishing

Develop skills in identifying fish that are commonly encountered when electrofishing in streams and rivers. This course complements the backpack electrofishing course by teaching participants how to identify unknown species of fish using dichotomous keys and random access computer keys. The lab sessions will provide students with hands-on experience and guidance in fish identification for practical field situations.

This course is designed to give participants an introduction to fish identification of species commonly found when electrofishing in Ontario. This course is often taken with electrofishing (FIWI 64).
