Electrofishing

Gain the hands-on skills to use backpack electrofishing safely and effectively for stream surveys. Learn theory and techniques in class before spending a full day in the field to practice your new skills. On the final day you will have time to review before the practical certification test. Participants will require a pair of non-breathable chest waders in good condition with no leaks. This course is similar in scope to a Class II Backpack Electrofishing course and is suitable for those new to backpack electrofishing and those looking for a refresher course. Electrofishing equipment is provided, but students may bring their own if they have it. Please contact the instructor.
