Have you ever wanted to blend or collage digital images? Kick start your journey into making digital photo creations in Adobe Photoshop. Learn about sizing images for screen and print, layers and masks, selection tools and the paint brush tool. Try changing the background of a portrait, blending two photographs together and creating photo collages. Short outdoor photoshoots on campus will break-up time spent on computer screens in the HSAD MAC computer lab. Take home two digital prints of your favourite experiments. You should be comfortable shooting and transferring digital images from your digital camera or cell phone camera to a computer. Familiarity with MAC computers or iPhones/ iPads and Adobe Photoshop is an asset but not a requirement. Options for free photo editing software will be discussed.
An optional $12 material fee payable to the instructor will be needed on your first day of class. Materials will include, two 8.5"x11" photo prints (this includes Epson Premium Lustre paper and printing costs)
