Learn about the quality, properties and care of materials and tools as you explore a variety of painting techniques and processes in a relaxed, supportive setting. Several concepts will be presented and applied to exercises that encourage personal interpretation and individual style. Analysis of light, shade and contrasts in value will be central to producing images conveying depth. Basic colour mixing, colour harmonies, and atmospheric perspective will be studied as they pertain to a variety of subjects. The intent is to explore, build confidence and have fun. Instruction is suitable for all skill levels.
