Winners awarded in finale of 2021 Innovation & Technology Showcase in partnership with Bell
Peterborough ON – (April 29, 2021) – After months of preparation and hard work, and weeks of presentations and evaluations, the winning student teams were announced during the finale of this year’s Innovation & Technology Showcase in partnership with Bell.
Out of a total of 66 business and technology applied research projects, the competition was narrowed down to 10 finalists. The top teams made their final pitches to the judges last week and answered all their questions. During today’s finale of this experiential learning event with industry and non-profit sponsors, the work of the winning three teams from the business and technology categories was recognized.
Teams were evaluated on the ability to articulate project objectives, problems and opportunities addressed, use of innovative thinking, project results and outcomes, and lessons learned in the process. The first place teams in each category received an award of $2,000, second place finishers received $1,500 and third place $1,000; the amount is divided equally amongst all team members.
