Take a Stand Against Sexual Violence at Take Back The Night
Peterborough, ON – (Sept. 14, 2022) – Fleming College and the Kawartha Sexual Assault Centre are encouraging community members to speak out and take a stand against sexual violence during the annual Take Back the Night rally and candlelight walk September 15.
Survivors of sexual assault and harassment, their supporters and all allies are welcome to join in a show of solidarity and to help build an inclusive, healing community.
The event takes place at the Silver Bean Café in Millennium Park. Speeches and performances begin at 6:30 p.m. and a candlelit solidarity walk through downtown Peterborough begins at 7:30 p.m.
The event is free to attend, and participants are encouraged to come early for poster and tobacco tie making. Materials will be provided on site.
