Public meeting: Fleming College community trails

Published

Fleming College is hosting a public meeting to gather input and ideas related to the nature trails at Sutherland Campus.

The college is enhancing nature trails that link Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre/Fleming Athletics, the student residences, St. Joseph’s at Fleming, and neighbouring subdivisions. That network will then be connected to existing trails throughout the campus, creating 5 km of trails.

The enhancements will provide more inclusive and accessible nature trails for community members, youth and fitness programs, summer camps, athletes, and students in fitness-related classes. The newly-updated trails will also endeavour to protect natural resources, including creeks, woodlands, plants and animals.

The public meeting will take place at Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre, 775 Brealey Dr., on Thursday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. in Gym A.

All are welcome to learn about the enhancements and provide input into the future of the trails at Sutherland Campus.
