New Governors officially welcomed to Fleming College
Fleming College’s Board of Governors officially inducted three new members today at a special ceremony at the Sutherland Campus.New External Governor Nancy Keating is a human resources professional in the manufacturing industry and will bring a training and development perspective to the Board. She will serve a three-year term as a Fleming College Governor.Ms. Keating is currently a Human Resources Generalist with Zircatec Precision Industries, a Cameco Company. Previously she has worked as a Human Resources Representative for Americredit Financial Company in Peterborough. The Board also officially inducted Ruth Greig and Matthew Taft to their one-year terms as Student Governors. Ms. Greig is currently enrolled in the new post-graduate Event Management program at the Sutherland Campus while Mr. Taft is enrolled in the School of Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences at the Frost Campus. The ceremony included a presentation from Board Chair Murray Rodd and Fleming President Dr. Tony Tilly where the new governors were given the college tartan – the Murray Clan tartan. Traditionally, members of the Fleming family wear the Murray tartan in recognition of a long friendship between the two families.
