Peterborough ON – (May 3, 2018) – Students from Fleming College’s School of Business have the opportunity to study in Ireland under a new exchange agreement recently signed with Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT).

The agreement allows up to five eligible students from each institution to take part in an exchange. The agreement applies to the Business Administration and Business Administration – Marketing programs at Fleming and the Business Information Systems, Bachelor of Business with Digital Marketing, Bachelor of Business in Marketing and Management, and Bachelor of Business in Enterprise and Innovation programs at LIT.

The students can spend up to one academic year at the partner institution. Two Fleming students have participated in the exchange and studied at LIT this semester.

“The first two students to come on exchange from Fleming College to LIT arrived in January 2018 and have settled in so well and quickly. Both students felt that Fleming and LITs ethos overlapped so much that they found the transition to LIT a welcoming and happy experience,” said Cliona Campbell, Director of International Affairs at LIT.

The exchange agreement builds on a memorandum of understanding signed between Fleming and LIT in 2016 that has paved the way for the student exchanges as well as degree completion opportunities. The MOU intends to also provide short-term field study/experience trips, joint classes and projects, and international internships or work placements.
