Haliburton Campus Convocation

Haliburton ON – (May 10, 2011) – The Haliburton Campus of Fleming College will celebrate convocation on Friday, May 27 at 2 p.m.

One hundred fifty students will graduate that day at a ceremony held at the campus.

Students will be graduating from 12 certificate and diploma programs: Artist Blacksmith; Ceramics; Digital Image Design; Expressive Arts; Fibre Arts; Glassblowing; Jewellery Essentials; Photo Arts; Visual and Creative Arts Diploma; Visual Arts Fundamentals – Drawing and Painting; Sustainable Building Design and Construction; and, Sustainable Renovations.

This the first graduating class for two new programs – Digital Image Design and Sustainable Renovations.

At convocation, Expressive Arts Program Coordinator and community volunteer Fay Wilkinson will receive the Fellowship in Applied Education award from the college.

Fleming College will host convocation ceremonies at Frost Campus on June 3 and at Sutherland Campus June 7-9.

Located in the heart of Central Ontario, Fleming College has campus locations in Peterborough, Lindsay, Cobourg and Haliburton. Named for famous Canadian inventor and engineer Sir Sandford Fleming, the college features more than 90 full-time programs in Business and Technology, Continuing Education and Skilled Trades, Environmental and Natural Resource Sciences, Visual Arts, Education, Health and Wellness, and Law, Justice and Community Services. Fleming College has 6,000 full-time and 10,000 part-time students, and more than 58,000 alumni.
