Fleming Supports Students in Acquiring Housing

Published

Peterborough ON – (September 3, 2019) With move-in well underway, Fleming continues to provide outreach and support for our domestic and international students seeking housing options in the area.

Our off-campus housing office has been working closely with International Student Services to support students in finding a place to stay.

Places4Students currently has 85 listings in Peterborough and 58 listings in Lindsay. As of Friday, Aug. 30, Severn Court, the off-campus private residence in Peterborough, had 50 vacancies. The townhouses on Airport Road also had six vacancies. These are traditionally full before start up.

Additionally, our staffing resources have been increased 75% over last year with the expansion of the off-campus housing office. We have also tripled the number of workshops and sessions for international students upon their arrival.

We recognize that the rental market can be challenging, however, as students move in and prepare for a successful academic year, we are prepared to support all incoming students.

For students seeking accommodation or those with properties to rent please contact och@flemingcollege.ca or 705-749-5100 for additional information.
