Fleming College welcomes future students to Open House

Fleming College will welcome hundreds of prospective students, their families and friends to all of its campuses at its annual spring Open House on Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitors can get an all-access pass to their future by touring the campuses and residences and meeting with faculty, students and alumni. Guests can also take in program demonstrations, explore pathways to in-demand careers and discover the on-campus services available to students. Help with applications will be available at the Registrar’s Office.

There will be a number of informative sessions throughout the day that will cover a variety of topics such as financial aid, housing, and student life as well as college education for adults, and what parents should know.

Program demonstrations include:

• Sutherland Campus (Peterborough): Culinary students will be baking treats available for tasting,
• McRae Building (Peterborough): Carpentry and welding demonstrations
• Frost Campus (Lindsay): Blasting Techniques blasting demos (every hour starting at 10 a.m.), Outdoor Adventure Skills offering Cold weather safety tips and demo of hypothermic wraps, and Arboriculture tree-climbing demos
• Haliburton Campus: Live art demonstrations in the campus studios
• Cobourg Campus: Mini-manicures by Esthetician students
• Eastern Ontario Fire Academy (Norwood, 12-2 p.m. only): Firefighting simulations and equipment displays
