Fleming College vs Trent University for the United Way

Fleming College President Tony Tilly will face off against Trent University President Steven Franklin in a tug-of-war match to benefit the United Way.

Faculty, staff and varsity athletes will also join in the inaugural, friendly tug-of-war between the two schools, which will take place on Thursday, Oct. 10 from 3 to 3:30 p.m. at Bower’s Park (entrance at Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre, 775 Brealey  Dr.).

All are welcome to come out – join Peterborough United Way CEO Jim Russell and cheer on the teams!

In addition to the tug-of-war, this will be the second annual Trent/Fleming United Way Participation Rate Competition. Fleming College’s annual United Way campaign runs from Oct. 8 to Dec. 2.

The United Way works to create opportunities for a better life for everyone through their 32 member agencies and 165 programs and services. By supporting United Way, you are helping people move from poverty to possibility, building healthy people and strong communities, and helping kids be all they can be.
