Fall Open House Returns to Fleming College
Peterborough, ON (October 24, 2023) – Fleming College’s innovative programs and three beautiful campuses will be on display during the annual Fall Open House.
Open House takes place November 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Fleming’s instructors, professors and students will be on hand to talk about their programs, answer questions and show off Fleming’s classrooms, labs and learning spaces. Information on residence, financial aid and post-secondary life in our campus communities will be available.
Open House begins at the Sutherland Campus with a land acknowledgment. Student ambassadors are providing tours of the campus and residence and sharing their insights into Fleming’s thriving student community.
The Frost Campus is hosting the annual Canadian Intercollegiate Lumberjack Association (CILA) Loggersports competition, which begins at 8:30 a.m. Lumberjack teams from six colleges across Ontario are competing against each other during a slew of challenges designed to showcase everything from chopping, axe throwing and sawing techniques. Visitors can also watch a blasting technique demonstration, and rock, mineral and fish samples from the multiple environmental programs hosted at the Frost Campus will be on display.
The Haliburton School of Art + Design (HSAD) is showcasing its world-renowned art programs at its beautiful campus nestled in the Haliburton Highlands. Demonstrations on everything from ceramics, painting, drawing and jewellery making will be performed by HSAD’s talented students, faculty and alumni.
