Culinary programs to host Cast Iron Chef Competition
Peterborough ON – (March 7, 2014) – High school students will be battling it out in the kitchen later this month as they vie to become Fleming College’s next Cast Iron Chef.
Students in the college’s Culinary programs will host a Cast Iron Chef Competition on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Fulford’s Restaurant. Three mixed teams consisting of a Fleming chef/faculty member, a Fleming Culinary student, and secondary school students will each prepare an appetizer, main course and dessert for the competition.
The competition will take place in Fulford’s Restaurant, Room 634 of the Sutherland Campus, 599 Brealey Dr., Peterborough.
Cocktails start at 6 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets to the event are limited. For $50 each guest will receive a sample portion of each team’s entry. Net proceeds from the competition will go toward student enrolment initiatives.
