Official Rules and Regulations

Eligibility: To be eligible, entrants must:

• Follow @FlemingCollege and @flemingphnx on Instagram
• Like and save the naming contest post
• Include their mascot name suggestions in the comment section of the naming contest post

Each participant may submit only one name suggestion. Multiple entries from the same individual will result in disqualification.

Participation Options:

There are two ways to participate in the contest:

• Submitting: Participants can submit their mascot name suggestions by following the submission method outlined below.
• Voting: Participants can vote for their favourite name from a list of recommended names. Please note that no prize will be awarded for voting.

Submission Method: Participants can submit their mascot name suggestions by commenting on the official contest post on Fleming College’s Instagram. The winning suggestion will receive a Fleming College Phoenix Hoodie (Value: $135 + tax).

Name Criteria: Names should reflect the essence of the Fleming Phoenix, symbolizing transformation, rebirth, strength, and perseverance. Names must be appropriate, respectful, and aligned with the College's values.

Voting and Selection Process:

• The final mascot name decision will be made by the Marketing and Communications team in collaboration with the Student Experience Team.

Prize and Winner Selection: The individual whose original mascot name suggestion is selected (if selected) will receive a Fleming College Phoenix Hoodie (Value: $135 + tax). In case of multiple submissions of the same winning name, the prize will go to the first person who submitted the name.

Claiming the Prize: To claim the prize, the selected entrant must:

• Provide their personal contact information, including pick up or delivery address. Submission Deadline and Announcement: The mascot name submission deadline and announcement of the selected name will be communicated on Friday, November 17.

Conditions of Participation: By participating, entrants agree:

• To abide by these Contest Rules and the decisions of Fleming College.
• The winner must provide proof of identity within seven (7) days of notification. Failure to do so will result in prize forfeiture.

General Rules: The Sponsor will not be held responsible or bear any liability for:

• Late-received, lost, misdirected, incomplete, illegible entries;
• Entries which fail to comply with the Contest Rules;
• Failure of the internet or the website during the Contest Period, for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network lines, computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email system or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer or handset resulting from taking part in the Contest;
• Losses, damages, or claims caused by or resulting from the Contest.

The Contest Rules are subject to change without notice, if necessary, to comply with any applicable legislation or policy of Fleming College. Fleming College may amend or terminate any of its Contests or any portion thereof at its discretion without advance notice.

All entries become the property of Fleming College and none will be returned.

The Contest will run in accordance with these Contest Rules, subject to amendment by Fleming College. Entrants must comply with these Contest Rules and will be deemed to have received and understood the Contest Rules by participating in the Contest. The terms of this Contest, as set out in these Contest Rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.

All improper entries will be voided.

The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

If the identity of an entrant(s) is disputed, the person matching the information presented to Fleming College at the time of entering the Contest will be deemed to be the entrant.
