Maha and Murad Younis Student Bursary

This fund was established by the Donor to assist Sir Sandford Fleming College of Aplpie Arts and Technology (the "College") students.

Maha and Murad Younis are both licensed pharmacists who immigrated to Canada with their four children from Egypt in 1994. Both Maha and Murad completed Fleming College's Intensive English as a Second Language program and Murad continued to complete his General Business Diploma in 1997. After graduation, Murad used the skills he acquired to open Westmount Pharmacy. A groundbreaking business in the area, Westmount Pharmacy was the first in Peterborough to be open 365 days a year with extended evening hours. The business has since grown to include Seamless Care Drug Therapy, specializing in home-based intravenous drug therapy. Maha and Murad are proud Fleming Alumni and proud members of the Peterborough community, giving back through various volunteer and philanthropic commitments.

Awarded to a returning domestic student registered in one of the following programs: the Pharmacy Technician, Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant, Practical Nursing, Paramedic, Health Information Management, Massage Therapy, Fitness, and Health Promotion or Personal Support Worker Program, and, demonstrates financial need.

* Student must have resided in Ontario for twelve months prior to beginning their post-secondary studies.

Registered students with an active timetable are able to apply for all bursaries that are administered by the college though our single on-line bursary application.

By completing this application, you will be considered for all college-administered bursaries and scholarships for which you are eligible. To apply, log into myCampus (the student portal), and go to the Student Centre section. The Apply Now! button will open the on-line application as long as you have a valid SIN on file. If you do not have a valid SIN on file, you are required to provide proof of SIN (any government issued document with your name and SIN) and government issued photo-id at the Registrar's Office so your record may be updated. Please note that bursary applications will not be evaluated until after the application deadline date.
